Face Cleansers for Men
The first step, often the most underrated
Cleansing is the step every skincare routine starts with, yet it's the one most men skip or handle with bar soap. A dedicated facial cleanser removes excess sebum, pollution residue and dead skin cells without stripping the hydrolipidic film that protects the skin. It's the precondition for serum and moisturiser to work effectively afterwards.

Why bar soap isn't enough for your face
Traditional soap and shower gel have a highly alkaline pH, designed for the body, not the face. Used on the face, it disrupts the skin's natural pH (slightly acidic, around 5.5) and leaves it more vulnerable to dryness, irritation and bacterial growth.
A properly formulated facial cleanser uses gentle surfactants that remove dirt and excess sebum without disturbing the protective lipid layer. Our purifying mousse is formulated with cocamidopropyl betaine, a gentle plant-derived surfactant, alongside aloe vera and chamomile to soothe while cleansing.
Cleansing the face morning and evening serves different purposes: in the morning it removes sebum built up overnight and preps skin to receive serum and moisturiser; in the evening it clears away pollution, sweat and the day's residue, an essential step before any night-time treatment.

Frequently asked questions about facial cleansers
Should I cleanse my face in the morning too, if I already did it the night before?
Yes. Overnight, skin continues to produce sebum and regenerate, leaving residue on the surface. Cleansing in the morning, even with a gentle product, preps the skin to receive the products that follow.
What is double cleansing and do men need it too?
Double cleansing (an oil-based first step followed by a foaming cleanser) is mainly useful in the evening for anyone wearing sun protection or make-up. For most men, a single cleanse with a gentle product is enough, morning and evening.
Can a cleanser dry out my skin?
One formulated with harsh surfactants can. Look for formulas with gentle surfactants, such as cocamidopropyl betaine, and soothing ingredients like aloe vera and chamomile, which cleanse without stripping the skin's natural moisture.
